Open a RAL Classic fan deck and run a thumb from RAL 1000 at one end to RAL 9018 at the other: each chip on the way is a colour in which Fantini will make I Balocchi. The manufacturer calls this colour on demand, and it reverses the usual order of a bathroom. Normally the fittings are chosen and the walls follow. Here the stone, the tile or the laminate is fixed first and the tap is painted to answer it. The catalogue makes the point with one photograph: a bathroom in which basin mixer and shower are the same blue.
The series sits with those Italian bathroom fittings that have a history. Davide Mercatali designed it with Paolo Pedrizzetti in the Seventies, for Fantini, and the shapes are easy to recognise: rounded bodies, an arched spout, handles in the form of a cross with four lobes. For the washbasin there is a three-hole mixer whose spout stands between the handles, a second mixer that needs just one hole, and a wall-mounted version. The body is brass. Three colours are standard, namely red with chrome, black matt and white matt; the colour on demand sits beside them as a fourth route. In an executive washroom clad in a veined granite, the mixer can then pick up the stone and not argue with it.
The remaining pieces are best read by how each one is fixed. On the deck: the bidet mixer for a single hole and the kitchen mixer with a swivelling spout. On the wall: the exposed bath group and its hand shower, the bath spout, the shower arms and the rain shower. Inside the wall: the thermostatic shower mixer, the stop cocks and diverters, and the concealed bath-shower group. Wastes and bottle trap are finished to match. La Mercanti takes the RAL reference from the finish schedule and carries it onto every line of the order.

Yes. Alongside the three-hole mixer, Fantini makes a single-hole version in which the spout and the two handles share one body, so everything passes through a single opening in the washbasin. It is supplied with hoses and with its waste.
The spout of the bidet mixer projects 12 cm, and it ends in a jointed aerator that lets the user aim the jet. The mixer needs one hole and is supplied complete with its waste. La Mercanti lists it together with the basin mixer when both are in the same washroom.
Four: 30, 35, 40 and 45 cm, each ending in a round wall plate. The length decides how far the rain shower stands from the tiles, so it is worth fixing on the drawing together with the position of the shower tray.
Everything needed at the bathtub in one wall-mounted piece: the spout, two handles, an automatic diverter with two outlets, the FIT hand shower with its bracket and a hose. The diverter switches the water between spout and hand shower without a separate control.
Yes. Fantini supplies the water outlets in two forms, with a fixed bracket that holds the hand shower or plain, without one. The plain outlet suits a layout where the hand shower already has a holder elsewhere on the wall.
The wall-mounted I Balocchi basin mixer is ordered as two parts under two numbers, and it has no waste. Five steps to get both right while the wall is still open.
The wall version is not one item. Fantini lists an exposed set, 0511B, and a concealed body, R010A, and the mixer exists only when both are on the order. Write the two numbers next to each other on the schedule.
The concealed body is built into the wall before plaster and tile, while the exposed set is fitted at the very end. Ask the installer when each one is needed, since the two moments fall at opposite ends of the works.
The concealed body has 1/2″ connections. The installer runs the hot and the cold line to its position and closes the wall around it; after that point the height of the spout can no longer be changed without breaking tile.
The spout projects 20 cm. Set the washbasin on the drawing so that with this length the jet lands within the bowl, and check it again if a deeper counter or a different basin is chosen later.
Unlike the deck-mounted basin mixers of the series, the wall version comes without a waste. Add a 1″1/4 waste, push type or free-flow, and where the trap stays visible, the bottle trap in the same finish.
