A two-day seminar is long enough to drain any laptop battery, and an auditorium where delegates queue for one wall socket during the tea break is an auditorium that has not been planned. Genya can be ordered with provision for an electric power supply, with the socket itself supplied on request, so that charging happens at the seat rather than in the corridor.
The point is to decide this early. The provision belongs to the chair as manufactured, and the cabling has to arrive at every seat before the rows are fixed. Done at the drawing stage, it costs a line on the layout; added later, it means lifting the hall.
The rest of the chair is equally considered. Dante Bonuccelli gave Genya a minimal, elegant form; the backrest is sprung, and its lumbar support adjusts itself as the seat is lowered, and the padding uses polyurethane foam in different densities that keeps its shape through a full day of sessions. Every surface the occupant touches is covered in a choice of fabric, faux leather or genuine leather.
Its primary use is as auditorium and theatre seating, but the same rows serve conference halls, institutional assembly rooms and multipurpose spaces equally well; and where the project allows, the manufacturer's Floor Technology can even fold the seats away beneath the floor. Because the socket is fitted on request, a hall can wire every seat or only the rows where delegates work on laptops.

On horizontal floors, on inclined floors or on steps, in straight rows or in curves with a minimum radius of 6 m. Because the frame is anchored to the surface itself, the floor type has to be known before the layout is frozen.
Yes, as an accessory: a tip-up tablet fitted at the rear of the backrest, for the occupant of the row behind. It features an anti-panic mechanism and closes gently, damped and slowed (patent pending), returning to rest without a sound.
The base of Genya is prepared to receive an aeration system, finished with a painted metal grille; the grille colour can be specified on request. Whether to use it is a decision for the hall's HVAC consultant, taken with the seating layout.
The end panel measures 32 cm with the 58 cm centre-to-centre and 33 cm with the 60 cm option. Adding it to the seat count gives the true length of each row on the drawing.
Yes. Genya offers seat numbering as well as a separate row identification element, useful for ceremonies, convocations and any event with allotted places. We fix the sequence with you before installation.
The ordering procedure for Genya upholstery: shortlist by category, request the physical sample, test it in the hall, match the rear panel and tablet, and freeze the code in the purchase order.
Genya is offered in ten covers grouped into four categories, from the first category (Inca, King, Trevi CS) up to Steelcut Trio 3 and leather. Agree the category with the client first; colour comes afterwards.
Screens misrepresent texture and shade. We arrange the actual sample, and its cost is fully adjusted against the order once confirmed.
Place the sample on a seat and view it under the stage and house lights that will be used during events, not only under daylight from a window.
If the rows will have a rear backrest or the writing tablet, choose their finish at the same sitting: oak or beech for the rear panel, beech, oak or black HPL for the tablet.
Record the approved collection and colour code in the purchase order, row by row. That code, not a description, is what will be checked on delivery.
