A room used one hour a day and a room used ten are different briefs even with identical furniture. Intensity and audience decide the durability and safety families long before a catalogue is opened.
Is the public present?
Public access changes what has to be proved and who carries the liability. It is the cheapest thing to declare at the start and the most expensive to discover at handover.
Read what the building has already decided
A structure arrives with obligations attached, and they travel down to whatever is placed inside it. Put the question to the architect or the safety officer at the start — occupancy classification, escape routes, anything the approval already fixes — because reopening it after the order is placed means placing it twice.
What must be cleanable, and how?
Who cleans the space, how often, and with what. Healthcare makes it a requirement, food service makes it a habit, heavy use makes it economics — and it decides the material more firmly than the colour does.
