Page 67 of Flexteam’s News 2025/2026 catalogue shows Cloud six times over in plan, every drawing marked with its overall size: 386 × 148 cm, 400 × 165 cm, 360 × 240 cm, 388 × 283 cm, 360 × 333 cm and 431 × 268 cm. The shallowest asks for 148 cm from the wall, the deepest for 333 cm. For a project team that page replaces the first round of sketches. You place a real footprint against the room, see which options the columns and doors permit, and only afterwards take up the question of fabric.
All six are assembled from one kit of parts. In the section of sofas and lounge furniture, Cloud is the modular system designed in-house by R/S Flexteam, on a structure of fir wood, plywood and wood fibre with reinforced elastic belts for suspension. Seat and backrest form part of that structure, in polyurethane foam that does not lose shape, beneath a removable cover with flat seams. Row units share a height of 74 cm, a depth of 105 cm with 68 cm of it for sitting, and a seat placed 42 cm above the floor. The maker presents it for the living space; in our projects it equally furnishes office lounges and informal waiting areas, beside visitor chairs or instead of them.
Sorted by outline on the floor, the parts fall into two groups. Straight-sided: units with armrest in 105, 120 and 135 cm; central units in 75, 90 or 105 cm; the two chaise longues, 160 × 165 cm for model 165 and 120 × 200 cm for model 200; end units without armrest, 130 × 165 cm and 90 × 200 cm. Rounded: the 148 × 148 cm corner, the open corner 120 × 120, the half-moon of 184 × 140 cm and the pouf of 108 × 92 cm. La Mercanti starts from one of the six compositions and adapts it to your room.

They are fixed. Flexteam describes the seat and backrest cushions as integrated into the structure, so there is nothing to lift out, turn over or straighten at the end of the day. The sofa keeps the same line whoever has used it.
Three widths: 105, 120 and 135 cm. Each is produced with the armrest on the right or on the left, and depth and height remain identical across the three, so the choice is purely a matter of how much wall you have.
It is a rounded end piece, listed as 120 × 120 cm, that carries a backrest only in the corner itself. Flexteam’s drawing shows it as the piece that ends a row with a curve where a straight side would otherwise be.
The total height is 74 cm and the seat is 42 cm above the floor. Both figures hold for the elements of a row, the corners and the chaise longues, which is why the top of the backrest runs at one level.
Flexteam declares Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and CertiPUR for the polyurethane foams it uses. The declaration refers to the material employed across the brand’s production; it is not a certificate issued for this sofa as a finished product.
Cloud arrives as separate elements. Five checks, beginning with the list you prepare beforehand, to confirm that each piece on site is the piece ordered.
Prior to the delivery date, write out the order as a list with one line per element: its name, its width and, where it applies, right or left. Keep a printed copy at the entrance; it is the document every later check refers to.
What comes off the vehicle is a number of pieces. A straight sofa of 285 cm, for example, is three: two elements of 105 cm with an armrest and a central element of 75 cm. Tick one line of the list per piece unloaded.
Measure across the front. Elements with an armrest are 105, 120 or 135 cm; central elements are 75, 90 or 105 cm. Note that 105 cm exists in both families, so look for the armrest as well as reading the tape.
Elements with an armrest, both chaise longues and the end unit 165 are made as right or left pieces. Compare each one with the side written on your list before it is carried to its place in the room.
The pouf, 108 × 92 cm and 42 cm high, and the half-moon, which measures 184 × 140 cm, are easy to recognise by their rounded outline. Tick them last, then sign the list only when every line carries its mark.
