A curved, sculptural sofa in a hotel lobby usually looks like something to admire from a distance. LaCividina writes the opposite into its data for Mon Coeur: the frame is reinforced for public areas, meaning places where the seating serves whoever walks in. The form stays a showpiece all the same. Seen from the front, the backrest of the swivel armchair draws a heart; the sofa sits low at its centre and rises into two peaks at the ends, and neither piece shows a leg or a straight line. Peter Harvey designed the family in 1998, and LaCividina produces it at Martignacco, near Udine.
For a reception that needs more than visitor chairs, the two-seater measures 240 × 110 cm, rises to 115 cm and keeps the seat 43 cm above the floor. Inside, the polyurethane foam is flame-retardant and does not lose its form, and a carbon-fibre support runs behind the seams; two round disc bases carry the sofa. The product sheet photographs it in red, though any colour comes from the cover chosen. The same piece is offered with lounge sofas too, for a director’s cabin.
Start with what a visitor sees. The swivel armchair is 120 cm wide and stands on a single disc. For both pieces the disc is polished chrome or RAL 9005 black, and the cover is fabric or leather from eleven categories, or the client’s own material. A USB socket and additional cushions can be ordered. Then comes what nobody sees: solid fir and beech, multilayer beech, a fibreglass element, masonite, steel and polyester fibre, with wood making up more than half of each piece. Before the cover is finalised, La Mercanti asks how many people cross that lobby in a day.

Yes. The section drawing on the LaCividina technical sheet labels one element of the structure in fibreglass, listed together with the woods, the masonite panel and the steel. The armchair contains one, and so does the two-seater.
6 m for the swivel armchair and 12 m for the two-seater sofa. LaCividina accepts the client’s own fabric (COM) only in plain colours, with a width of 140 cm; a sample of it goes to the factory as well.
Yes. LaCividina lists a USB socket among the options in its price list, code 1283, to be requested along with the order. The electrical supply for it is arranged on site by the electrician.
Both stand 115 cm high, measured from the floor to the highest point of the back. Armchair and two-seater share that overall height, so when they are placed in one room the tops of the two backs finish at the same level along the wall.
3001N is the swivel armchair and 3002N is the two-seater sofa. These codes appear in LaCividina’s 2025 price list and on its technical sheet, and every order for Mon Coeur starts from one of the two.
On Mon Coeur the cover is fixed: once the piece is made, it cannot be taken off and replaced. In five steps, material and category get settled with no second thoughts.
LaCividina makes the Mon Coeur cover fixed, not removable. Whatever is chosen at the time of ordering stays on the piece for good, so the cover is a decision to settle first and carefully.
The swivel armchair can be covered in fabric or in leather, and so can the two-seater sofa. Agree on the material with the client before anyone starts looking at colours or swatches.
LaCividina recommends eleven categories: Start, then A, B, C, Super, Extra, Maxi, Top and Special, up to Lux and Imperial. Write the category beside each code in the specification.
In category Maxi the 2026 technical sheet names Divina 3 as well as Hallingdal 65; in category Extra, Steelcut Trio 3. They give a first point of reference within the list of categories.
Write the material, the category and the name of the cover on the order, one line per piece. Since the cover cannot be changed later, that written line is the decision, not a draft.
