When Romano founded Cierre in 1972, he told the workshops around him in Forlì something unusual: I am not the competition. Your competition is the World. A small Romagna company decided its benchmark was not the town but everyone, everywhere — and fifty years later, in the third generation, its leather sofas and armchairs are still measured that way.
For an Indian project weighing an import against a local build, that sentence is the whole argument: a piece is either good enough to travel or it is not. Does Cierre only make sofas?
No, and that was a deliberate turn. Under the idea it calls Living in leather, Cierre widened the range beyond seating into beds, tables, coffee tables, bookshelves and sideboards. A guest floor or a director's suite can therefore be furnished in one hand instead of assembled from four brands.
How much choice is there in the leather?
More than fifteen leather types and over three hundred colours kept available daily, with raw hides selected on international markets and custom colouring possible through partner tanneries. For a corporate palette, that usually means matching rather than compromising.
