Tables that turn their own screens: Busetti Garuti Redaelli

Busetti Garuti Redaelli, design studio, authors of Buddy and Log for Pedrali

Ask an office to be informal and it usually loses its structure. Busetti Garuti Redaelli solved that tension in 2020 with Amìs, a modular table system for Manerba where the screens are neither fixed nor decorative: they move and rotate freely, so the same solid-wood surface becomes a place to concentrate alone, to work in pairs or to open up for a group, without calling maintenance. The Milanese studio has been building this kind of quiet flexibility since 2008, across furniture, tableware, faucets and appliances, and its stated aim never changes — simple solutions where usability and legibility come before effect.

In India, two of their collections for Pedrali are available through La Mercanti: Buddy and Log, chosen when reception, lounge and informal meeting need to belong to one another.
