Dorigo Design, four continents on one drawing board

Some studios talk about going global; Dorigo Design simply lists it: partners across Europe, the USA, Asia and South America. The practice was founded in 1992 in Conegliano by Fiorenzo Dorigo — born in Treviso in 1953, working in furniture design since 1975, independent since 1987, ADI member — and spans industrial, furniture, product and interior design for office, domestic, contract and public spaces. Recognitions include Good Design Awards and a Red Dot; the son, Massimo, runs a second office in Bath, England.

Seating is the studio's deepest chapter: twelve designs for Sitland — the Milos family, Lido, Tov and more — plus a declared collaboration with Dieffebi. Indian companies working with La Mercanti add a fifth continent to that map, with service to match. The board is one; the time zones are many.
