Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Most executive tables give you sizes; X12 gives you four architectures. A freestanding desk on two legs. A leg paired with a lacquered monolith on the right. The mirror version with the monolith on the left. And full compositions where a return top rides on a third lifting column. Same tops, same finishes, four different ways of occupying a cabin — the choice is structural, not cosmetic.

Designed by Dorigo Design, X12 adjusts electrically from 76 to 125 cm and carries tops veneered in grey elm, American walnut or striped ebony, with an optional stitched leather inlay; legs and monolith take a matt lacquer in 25 shades. A service cupboard slots below, a pedestal rolls beside, and the cable path is engineered from grommet to floor.

La Mercanti delivers X12 across India and worldwide, supporting architects and buyers from sample to installed cabin.

FAQ

How is the cabling organised on the X12?
Through a complete kit: an 80 mm grommet with dust brush, a retractable power module with USB A and C ports, a self-closing braided sleeve, an extendable cable spine and a release tray under the top — every cable gets its own route.
Can the desk remember preferred heights?
Yes. The keypad stores three positions — writing, standing and one in between — set once and recalled with a single touch afterwards.
Which width suits a director cabin best?
The 200.8 cm top balances presence and circulation in most cabins; the 220.8 cm version suits large corner rooms, while 180.8 cm fits compact cabins without giving up the one-metre depth.
Does the return top need its own power point?
No. One control box drives all three columns, including the return's, and the desk reaches the wall through a single 3 m cord — the cabling stays as clean as the architecture.
What is the leather inlay like?
A 1.3 mm leather band stitched tone on tone and set into a defined zone of the top, offered in brown, black, red and anthracite against the three veneers.

How to shortlist the X12 with samples

Five steps to choose veneer, leather and lacquer for an X12 before placing the order.

Request the sample kit
Ask La Mercanti for the X12 veneer samples — elm, walnut and ebony — together with the leather shades.
Judge them in the actual cabin
Bring the samples to the room where the X12 will stand and view them in daylight and under office lighting.
Pair leather with wood
Lay the leather sample over the veneer just as it will sit on the X12 top, and fan the lacquer chips beside them.
Check against the room
Compare the shortlist with flooring, doors and seating — the X12 is the centrepiece of the cabin, not an isolated object.
Lock the codes into the order
Record veneer, leather shade and lacquer code on the X12 order line so production matches exactly what you approved.
