One signature across furniture, light and exhibitions

Shin and Tomoko Azumi, authors of the LEM stool and ZA System for Lapalma

Shin & Tomoko Azumi never confined the signature to seating: the same hands have worked on furniture, lighting, interiors and exhibition design, including a show for Britain's Crafts Council and the interiors of the United Kingdom Supreme Court. Both trained at the Royal College of Art in London, one year apart, and their client list crosses six countries — Italy, Britain, Japan, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark. Their awards include the Blueprint 100% Design Award, and they have judged the iF Design Award and the imm award in Cologne.

For Lapalma that range produced the LEM stool of 2000 and the ZA System of shelves and dividers. La Mercanti scales them across Indian offices, floor by floor.
