English offers a chair or an armchair, and nothing in between; Italian has a third word. Poltroncina — the little armchair — names a precise idea: a seat compact enough to serve a dining table, generous enough to hold you like furniture with intentions. Cut by Lapalma is the word made object. Francesco Rota kept the footprint of a chair — 55 by 51 centimetres — and gave it what chairs renounce: a shell that rises around the back and comes forward to meet the elbows, padded inside, sharp outside.

Because the category sits between rooms, the family refuses to choose one: nine versions carry the same shell from the dining table to the meeting room and the desk — solid wood legs, steel sled, star and column bases, castor versions fixed or height-adjustable. Fabrics span four categories, joined by Soft-leather hide and Valencia eco-leather. One untranslatable word, one shell, a whole floor plan covered.

La Mercanti delivers Cut programs across India with Lapalma's metric documentation and door-to-door logistics — versions and coverings agreed on paper before production begins.

FAQ

What footprint do the castor versions occupy?

A Ø60 cm base circle — useful arithmetic when planning cabins and training rooms; fixed-base versions sit within 55 by 51 cm.

Can the shell stay visible in a corporate palette?

Yes: choose inner padding only, and the white or black Baydur shell frames whatever fabric the brand guidelines dictate inside it.

Which fabrics does Lapalma catalogue for Cut?

Four categories running from Medley and Maya to Hallingdal, Steelcut Trio, Divina and Blazer, plus Soft-leather hide and Valencia eco-leather — all on the official card La Mercanti samples out.

Are strength tests declared for intensive use?

Lapalma declares EN 1728:2012 6.17 and EN 16139:2013 level L2 on versions S147-148 and S188-189, and the 1 IM fire test with Steelcut and Remix fabrics on the whole family.

How are large quantities delivered in India?

La Mercanti coordinates production batches and door-to-door freight with customs handled, and confirms every date in writing at order confirmation.

How to receive a Cut delivery in a working office

Chairs arrive in volume, not one by one. Five steps to plan the delivery day without stopping the floor.

Get the packing list

Ask La Mercanti how many boxes the Cut order travels in and their sizes before booking anything.

Book the freight elevator

Reserve the goods elevator and a dock window with building management for the delivery slot.

Stage by room

Label boxes by destination room so each batch of Cut chairs moves once, not twice.

Unpack away from traffic

Open cartons in a side room and keep hardware bags together until every Cut is assembled.

Check against the order

Tick versions and coverings against the confirmation, noting any transport remark before signing the receipt.
