Athos by IVM — a cabin built for receiving, not just presiding
In India the cabin never went out of fashion — it evolved. Today's MD cabin is where clients are received, deals are signed and chai is served, and the desk has to work as a stage for all three. Athos is built for exactly that: in the twin side-panel configuration, a hooked top overhangs the desk width by 18 cm, giving visitors a real place at the table rather than a chair floating in the room, while the Primofiore modesty panel keeps the composition formal from the guest's side.
The top tells the rest of the story: 40 mm thick, with a leather-look Primofiore writing pad built into the elm laminate and framed by an aluminium Brill profile — the sous-main of the old officer's desk, made maintenance-free. The whole perimeter is edged in 3.5 mm aluminium with rounded corners, and pedestals lock every drawer with one key. For tech-heavy cabins, the lateral extension adds Top Access ports and a ventilated PC tower cabinet.
When the meeting outgrows the cabin, the collection follows: conference tables with technical strip and cable bushings up to 410x140 cm, a 140 square, a chrome-based round and h 45 waiting tables, in the same Tortora, Dark Brown and Cream harmonies. Materials comply with UNI EN standards; 90% of production is CARB 2 certified for formaldehyde. Engineered by R&D by IVM — the boardroom and the cabin, one handwriting.

Why does the Athos guest top overhang the desk by 18 cm?
So visitors sit at the desk, not near it: the hooked top at h 67 projects 18 cm beyond the desk width, creating a genuine meeting edge inside the cabin. The Primofiore modesty panel keeps the guest-facing side as composed as the top.
Is the Athos writing pad suitable for Indian maintenance routines?
Yes — it is Primofiore leather-grain laminate, not hide: chai rings, ink and daily dusting leave no memory, and no polishing or conditioning is ever needed. Neutral cleaner is the whole regime.
Can Athos handle a desktop tower and heavy cabling?
That is what the lateral extension is for: Top Access ports in the top and a dedicated tower cabinet below, with twin ventilation grilles so the machine breathes even behind closed fronts.

Start from how the cabin receives
If clients are met at the desk, specify the side-panel version with the 18 cm guest overhang; if the cabin is a working cockpit, take the lateral extension with Top Access and the ventilated tower cabinet.

Choose among 190, 210 and 240 cm widths with 90 or 100 cm depth, keeping a clear 120 cm behind the chair — the desk should host a handshake without anyone standing sideways.
