Antonio Morello worked nine years freelance before choosing one house

Antonio Morello, house designer of DVO office systems

The dates tell a career in two acts. Antonio Morello, born in Sicily in 1963, began his professional activity in Padua in 1982 — nine years of independent work in which he specialised in office furniture design. Then came the second act: in 1991 he joined DVO, and the freelancer became the house designer, responsible not just for the drawing but for engineering and industrialisation, the unglamorous stages where a good idea becomes a manufacturable product. The result is a list of around twenty systems bearing his signature, from executive desks to drawer units.

Indian projects meet act two directly: Oxford and other Morello systems for DVO travel with La Mercanti to offices across India, factory discipline included.
