Beauty and efficiency in one formula: Claudio Bellini

The approach of Claudio Bellini fits in four words - beauty and efficiency - and the qualifier matters: «the harmony» of the two, considered against the demands of growing global markets, as Frezza describes his method. It is the mindset of an architect who graduated in Architecture and Industrial Design at Politecnico di Milano, opened his own practice in 1996 and has since served over a hundred clients from the Far East to America, from office furniture to automotive and home. Today the Milan practice, part of the Claudio Bellini Design Group, works with a multinational team and offers art direction alongside product, interior and graphic design; the awards Frezza lists - Red Dot, iF, Good Design - follow from that balance rather than from styling.

For Frezza the formula became DR, the executive system La Mercanti proposes to Indian corporate offices together with the Fior di Loto chairs and the Russell sofa by the same hand - one designer for the room, not three.
