Studio SI — traceable authorship behind Iulio, Sigma and Nice

When a design has an author, it has a biography you can check. Studio SI — eight architects, designers and industrialisation engineers in Padua, Italy, at work since 1980 — carries one worth checking: two Compasso d'Oro nominations and more than thirty industrial patents. Their stated philosophy, «We believe in simplification», translates into design where aesthetics, engineering, cost control and production optimisation are one drawing — not four negotiations.

For twenty years the studio has designed for Las Mobili — eight products across the office. At La Mercanti their collections come with the paperwork: Iulio and Sigma for executive and operative desks, Nice for the reception, 5th Element for the office that grows.
