In a growing office, the desk is bought many times — every hiring round, every new floor. Sigma by Las Mobili, designed by Studio Si, is built for exactly that rhythm: one system whose grammar produces single operative desks, bench workstations, semi-executive desks and meeting tables, so the tenth purchase still matches the first. The construction is unambiguous: 35 x 35 mm square steel legs, 3 mm thick, moulded zama joints, and a load-bearing frame that recesses half the thickness of the 24 mm coupled top — thin to the eye, rigid to the touch.
Benches ride on bridge or loop legs with fixed 25 mm tops or sliding tops that open on POM sliders for instant access to the cable bay — a serious argument in IT-dense offices. Desks aggregate to comby desk-height storage with cable-slotted shelf, to service cabinets and to metal bookshelves with desk-attach modules. The structure is epoxy-coated in six colours — White, Matt Black, Green, Ice Grey, Tobacco, Cappuccino — so colour can mark teams and zones across a large floor plate without signage.
Order, engineered per person
Cabling is handled as infrastructure — flip-top top access with dust brush, under-top trays, central legs with inspectable WIRE MANAGER panelling, CPU modules whose Ø 80 mm grommets swap for built-in sockets, pop-up towers on meeting tables. And each person keeps order too: handle-less two-drawer chests with central locking, and lockers with progressive-numbered cylinders plus one MASTER key for the facilities team. Because batch-bought desks never match. Sigma's grammar — 35 x 35 mm square legs, zama joints, a frame that recesses half the top's thickness — builds singles, benches, semi-executive desks and meeting tables from the same components, so the workstations you add at 70 people sit flush beside the ones you bought at 30. One system, one spare-parts logic, one look across floors.
Bench spines where density will rise — more people join the same legs and beams — and singles with comby aggregation where roles need separation. Brackets connect single desks to comby, service cabinets and metal bookshelves, so layouts recompose instead of being replaced. In IT-dense rooms, specify sliding tops: the worktop glides open on POM sliders and the cable bay is serviced from standing height.
At four levels, all in the price list: flip-top top access with soft closing and dust brush; 0.7 mm sheet-metal trays under the top; central bench legs with inspectable WIRE MANAGER panelling; CPU-holder modules whose Ø 80 mm grommets can be replaced with built-in sockets. Meeting tables take a pop-up tower that stays flush with the top until pressed.
As zoning. Legs, trays and top access share one palette — White, Matt Black, Green, Ice Grey, Tobacco, Cappuccino — with nylon levelling feet colour-matched to the metal. Give each department or floor its colour and the plan becomes self-explanatory; with ten top finishes, two decisions define the identity of the whole workspace.
Lockers with a mechanical bolt lock and removable cylinders in progressive numbering — all different — double folding key, plus one MASTER key per reference for administration. Assigned desks add the handle-less two-drawer chest with central locking and anti-slip inserts. Both integrate into comby compositions at desk height, keeping circulation clear.
For office managers and project teams: five Sigma decisions that keep a growing floor coherent.
Place bench spines where teams will densify and singles with comby where separation matters. Because Sigma singles aggregate to comby, service cabinets and metal bookshelves via brackets, the plan is recomposed later — not repurchased.
Map floor power points, stand CPU modules and WIRE MANAGER legs on them, then choose per desk between top access — flip-top, soft closing, dust brush — and under-top trays. Order meeting-table pop-up towers with the tables; electrification is selected separately by colour and type.
Six structure colours and ten finishes code departments without signage. Hold the palette to two or three combinations per floor; colour-matched levelling feet carry the code to the ground.
Specify lockers — progressive-numbered cylinders, one MASTER key per reference — in comby compositions for shared seats, and central-locking drawer chests for assigned ones. Storage at desk height leaves the floor to people.
Check melamine and coated metal under your actual lighting with physical samples — their cost is fully credited when the order is confirmed. Freeze tops, metal colour, compositions and top-access positions in writing with the order.
