Brushed metal insert defining the areas of the Ar.tu desktop

Four seats, one square: Ar.tu in the MD's cabin

Archiutti

Perin & Topan

Most decisions in an MD's cabin are taken by four people or fewer. Ar.tu plans for exactly that: beside the executive desk, the collection includes a square meeting table of 160 by 160 centimetres — four seats within talking distance, papers in the middle, nobody raising a voice.

Desk and table speak one language. Strict volumes, tops crossed by a brushed metal insert, finishes running from bleached and cooked oak to American walnut, lacquer and leather; the square table takes a whole-veneer top or veneer with a central leather panel and top-access.

Credenzas with coloured niches, lit bookshelves and drawer units complete the cabin. For Indian projects, La Mercanti specifies the set piece by piece, with the producer's declared data behind every line.

FAQ

How big is the square Ar.tu meeting table?
160 by 160 centimetres, 75 high — sized for four seats within talking distance, which is how most cabin meetings actually happen.
Can desk and table share the same finish?
Yes. The whole collection draws on one palette — lacquers, oaks, walnut and leather — so the cabin reads as a single decision rather than separate purchases.
What tops are available on the meeting tables?
Whole veneer, or veneer with a central leather panel; both versions carry a central top-access for connections.
Do the storage niches come in brighter colours?
The cataloged niches include poppy red and honey yellow besides white and dove grey, with LED lighting inside the bookshelf niches.
Which desk sizes suit a compact cabin?
Tops of 200 or 220 cm by 95 deep; the service-unit versions reach 223 to 243 cm overall, configured right or left on the room's plan.

How to set up a cabin that meets well

Five steps to a director's room where the desk and the square table work as one.

Count the real meetings
If most of them seat four or fewer, plan the square table first and the visitor chairs after.
Keep the table within reach
Place the 160×160 square so the move from desk to table is a step, not a walk.
One palette, two pieces
Choose finishes once — wood, lacquer, leather — and let desk and table share them.
Wire the centre once
Decide at order stage what the central top-access must carry, so the table arrives ready.
Samples, then paperwork
Order finish samples through La Mercanti — cost fully credited on confirmation — and have delivery terms confirmed in writing.
