Perin & Topan: aesthetics that survive mass production

Scaling beauty is the hardest brief in industrial design: one prototype is easy, the ten-thousandth piece is the test. Perin & Topan built their practice on exactly that discipline — their declared philosophy is to unite mass production, aesthetic value and function. Gianantonio Perin (Oderzo, 1957) and Giorgio Topan (Padova, 1958), IUAV architects in partnership since 1991, specialised in offices and public spaces: places where furniture must repeat reliably, floor after floor.
