A freestanding washbasin leaves one question that the drawing has to settle early: where does the water come from? With Mint, Fantini’s answer rises from the floor. The collection designed by Angeletti & Ruzza includes a single-lever column that is fixed beside the basin and reaches over its rim with a spout projecting 19 cm. Counter and wall are left alone. The piece arrives as two parts, the column you see and a concealed body that is installed first, and it is produced in all six finishes of the range. It has no waste of its own; the one for the basin is chosen separately.
An architect comparing Italian bathroom fittings will find the more usual positions covered as well. On the counter, the single-hole version projects 12.5 cm, or 16.5 cm with the longer spout, plus a high model; a three-hole set places the spout between two handles that open in a quarter turn. On the wall, the projection is 14 or 19 cm. Every piece is made of brass and supplied with its handles, in Chrome, in Matt Black or in one of four PVD finishes.
What remains of the range follows the day. Morning belongs to the shower: concealed controls with a diverter for two or three outlets, thermostatic versions, square overhead showers, brass ones or the larger Acquafit, a handset on a sliding rail. Through working hours an executive washroom depends on smaller pieces, the bidet fitting and Hydrospray, the hygiene spray Indian sites call a health faucet, with Hydrobrush for the WC. Evening is for the bathtub, filled by a concealed set, by one on the rim or by a filler that stands alone, in Chrome or Matt Black. La Mercanti confirms with the site engineer where the floor outlet for the basin mixer has to be, before the screed is poured.

Either. Fantini lists the wall-mounted version in two trims, one with separate rosettes and one with a single plate, and offers both at each of its two projections. Both are paired with the concealed body M111A; what changes, to our eye, is how much of the wall finish stays visible between the controls.
They run on ceramic headworks with a 90° travel, so each handle goes from closed to fully open in a quarter turn, one for hot and one for cold. The set is the only two-handle piece among the Mint basin fittings and it is supplied complete with a pop-up waste.
The Acquafit has 125 nozzles, each with anti-limescale protection, on a square face of 30 × 30 cm. Unlike the smaller heads of the collection, which are brass, this one is made of stainless steel.
Rain and massage. DISCO is a handset in ABS, 14 cm in diameter, with 72 nozzles for the rain pattern and 4 for the massage jet. Fantini lists it with the shower sets of the collection, next to FIT, SUN and SOHO.
Mint is the work of Angeletti & Ruzza. Fantini describes the project as one inspired by primary forms, drawn with lines that run either upright or level, and it names no other author for the collection. La Mercanti can share the manufacturer’s catalogue with your architect.
A Mint shower is ordered as separate parts. Count the outlets first: the number decides the control, and the control decides the concealed body, the head and the set.
One outlet needs the plain concealed version. Two or three are served by the version with a rotating diverter. All of them have 1/2″ inlets and a noise-insulated body.
The diverter versions are listed twice, with separate rosettes and with a single plate. Decide with the tile layout in front of you, because the choice fixes the openings to be cut.
The visible part is one; the concealed bodies are two. One is made only for vertical installation and the other only for horizontal, so the direction is written on the order before the plumber starts.
The square brass heads measure 20×20 cm or 25×25 cm. Wall arms come in 30, 35, 40 and 45 cm, ceiling arms in 10, 25 and 45 cm, with an optional preparation for plasterboard ceilings.
A set brings a square rosette, a water outlet with holder and a 150 cm PVC hose. Pick FIT in brass, SUN in ABS or SOHO. If the hand shower should slide, add the 90 cm rail with its adjustable slider.
