Designer office table in 12 mm tempered glass: Genesis by Codutti puts the boardroom on three legs
The meeting table is where Genesis shows what its legs can do. Codutti makes every table of the collection, the round one, the square 140 × 140 cm, the 280 × 120 cm rectangle and the modular ones up to 560 cm, in three tops, and one of them is 12 mm tempered glass with a polished edge: a boardroom table you can see through, standing on independent legs cast in polished aluminium. The round table does it with three legs only, each holding the glass on three support points, so the disc stays level without a central column and nobody sits against a pedestal.
The same glass, wengé or natural oak veneer and hand-stitched thick leather dress the desks, from 160 × 80 to 240 × 100 cm, the bridge versions that replace two legs, the mobile extensions on castors, the bookcases with drop-down doors and the cabinets in 45 and 90 cm modules. The collection is by the architect Tiziano Dainese with Valuenet associati, warranted for five years in Codutti's 2025 price list. La Mercanti ships the glass tops of a Genesis table in their own crates and checks the polished edge of each one at the client's office before the legs are set.

Is wengé a wood or a colour on Genesis?
A colour. Every wood top, front and side of the collection is oak veneer, finished either natural or dyed in wengé tone, with several coats of matt polyurethane on top; the two codes are SN07 and SW06.
What is the mobile extension for?
It is a unit on castors, in 40 mm veneered MDF, that parks beside the desk and moves when the office is rearranged. Inside it takes a drawer unit, a cupboard with doors or a pull-out shelf for the printer; fronts and doors come in wood or thick leather.
Which heights do the cabinets come in?
Six: 82, 122, 162, 202, 242 and 282 cm, in modules 45 or 90 cm wide and 45 cm deep, with a 19 mm veneered top. Doors are 18 mm on 110° soft-close hinges; a single cabinet holding filing drawers has to be fixed to the wall.
What is the sofa frame made of?
An exposed frame in chromed steel and polished aluminium carries a wooden structure padded with stress-resistant foam, upholstered in fabric or leather; the armrest and backrest supports are steel covered in saddle-stitched regenerated leather, cream or moka.
Can a safe or a fridge be built into the cabinets?
Yes, both are accessories of the collection: a digital safe and a refrigerator with a black metal body, sized for a single door, with a side shelf for glasses. A pull-out coat rail in black lacquered metal fits the same cabinets.
How to roll out Genesis across a floor in phases
When a Genesis order covers several offices and a meeting room, five steps keep the finishes consistent and the deliveries in the order the building can take.
Fix the finish codes for the whole project first
Choose the Genesis oak tone, SN07 or SW06, and the leather code once for every office and the meeting room, so that phase three matches phase one even if the order is split.
Start with the meeting room
It is the largest crate and the longest assembly: ten legs and a 560 cm top in modules. Delivering it first frees the corridor for the desks and cabinets that follow.
Group the desks by leg count
Four-leg Genesis desks are assembled and placed in an hour; bridge versions fix their orientation and go into the offices whose layout is final. Keep the two groups in separate phases.
Add cabinets and lights with the electrician on site
Cabinets with filing drawers are secured to the wall during the phase in which the electrician connects the bookcase lights, which Codutti supplies uninstalled.
Close each phase with a signed report
Every Genesis delivery ends with a report listing the pieces, the finish codes and the anchored cabinets; La Mercanti keeps the three reports together against the five-year warranty declared by Codutti.
