Most office ranges grow by adding parts: a different leg, a new frame, a modesty panel in another material. Rialto grows differently. FIAM Italia takes one move — a sheet of glass turned down at the edge — and repeats it six times at six scales.
At 15 mm it becomes the desk, and then the desk with a drawer unit, and then the version that hangs off a wall, and then the island with a second top at 60 cm. At 10 mm the same turn becomes a shelf on chromed brackets. At 8 mm it becomes a drawer unit on castors, 48×45×67 cm.
For a specifier that is a practical advantage: an entire cabin can be drawn from one language, without matching finishes across suppliers, and every piece carries the same declared data — 100 kg on the top, 5 kg per drawer. The design is credited to CRS Fiam and the model is registered.
