Executive ranges usually open with a table of lengths. The datasheet for Zero has one line: 210 by 90 centimetres, 75 high. That is not a gap in the catalogue, it is what happens when a shape is drawn as a single continuous shell rather than assembled from a top, a frame and a choice of spans.
For a corporate floor the practical effect is a shorter conversation: the footprint is fixed, so the decisions that remain are the finish, the colour and whether the top carries a customisable image. Designed by Karim Rashid in 2008, the shell is thermosetting resin reinforced with glass fibre. La Mercanti plans it into Indian headquarters where one signature piece has to work in several rooms without being redrawn.
