Fattore Alpha director table by Archiutti with cooked oak top and black frame

Director tables with a rail inside the frame: Fattore Alpha by Archiutti

Archiutti

Reconfiguring a floor usually leaves marks: holes where a screen used to be, brackets that no longer match the new desk. Fattore Alpha avoids the marks by design. Inside its extruded aluminium frame runs a rail, and every accessory — screens, trays, panels — attaches with sliding fixings that lock onto that rail. Move a team, change a screen, add a divider: nothing is drilled, the frame stays as it left Treviso.

Designed by ambostudio and Grazia Azzolin, the system is meant to be composed rather than bought piece by piece. The director table of 200 or 220 cm stands on legs or on one or two side panels; the managerial station follows with the same top and a shiny structure; operative desks from 120 to 200 cm and benches for two, four or six fill the open floor; rectangular meeting tables reach 320 cm, with square tables and low tables completing the room. Tops in melamine, walnut, cooked oak, glass or Fenix all sit inside the same frame.

La Mercanti supplies Fattore Alpha for Indian corporate floors as a system that can be rearranged in year three without buying it again — the rail is the reason.

FAQ

Are the wood tops real veneer or a printed decor?
Both exist and the price list keeps them apart: real veneer is offered in Canaletto walnut and cooked oak, while maple, Tortona oak, walnut and light oak are wood-decor melamine. Director tables take the veneer, white melamine, Fenix or metallized glass.
What comes standard with a meeting table?
Rectangular tables of 160, 240 and 320 cm are supplied with a central top access and the cable trays already included. Square tables of 160 and 200 cm follow the same logic, and all of them sit at 73 cm high.
What is the transparent element at the bottom of each leg?
A foot in transparent PMMA. It is not a cosmetic glide: Archiutti gives it a structural function and uses it for the fine adjustment of the table on the floor, which matters on stone and tile.
Which pedestal suits a cabin with heavy files?
The version with one drawer, one file drawer and a stationery tray, 42 x 57 x 58 cm. Both pedestals carry an anti-tilt device so an open file drawer does not pull the unit forward.
Can a divider double as a writing surface?
Yes. The catalogue proposes the partition with a blackboard-effect panel, turning the divider between benches into a surface for notes rather than a blank screen.

How to prepare the order file for a Fattore Alpha floor

Sizes in the metric system, finish codes and quantities per role: the checklist that turns a layout into a complete order.

List every Fattore Alpha position by role
Write each station as director, managerial, operative or bench, with its width and depth, so Fattore Alpha codes can be assigned without ambiguity.
Assign finishes by code
Take the top and structure finishes from the Archiutti finish chart and note their code next to each line, not only the colour name.
Add returns and pedestals as separate lines
Returns, pedestals and front panels are their own items: list them under the desk they serve, with left or right position where relevant.
Mark the meeting tables and screens
Note each meeting table size and every screen with its material and its kit type, so the installer arrives with the right fixings.
Send the file for written confirmation
Forward the complete list to La Mercanti; every line is checked against the price list and confirmed in writing before production starts.
