Vincent Van Duysen: an Antwerp studio with 90% of its work abroad

Some studios export a style; Vincent Van Duysen exports a discipline. From Antwerp, where his office has worked since 1989, 90% of the projects now sit abroad — Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the USA — carried by a team of 40 where architects and product designers share one desk. The language travels because it refuses shortcuts: pure, tactile materials, respect for context, comfort built to last. Since 2016 he also directs Molteni&C creatively.

For an Indian project, La Mercanti delivers his hand in material form: the Mutina stoneware he designs and Fantini fittings from his drawings — sourced from Italy, confirmed on sample, coordinated to site.
