Office partition walls Simple Bold by Luconi in double glass

Glass where it helps, wood where it does not: Simple Bold

Luconi

Not every metre of a partition should be transparent. Simple Bold by Luconi is built to mix: the same wall run takes glass panels and wood-based panels, joined by a dedicated aluminium profile, so the transparent stretch faces the open plan while the solid stretch closes off what should not be on display.

For a large fit-out the practical value is obvious: one system, one frame language, one installation team — instead of a glazed partition next to a drywall stud wall that never quite lines up with it. Joints are provided in line, L-shaped at 90 degrees, T-shaped and Y-shaped, and even towards the single-glass Simple wall.

Where the glass runs, it runs double, with an air gap and acoustic insulation declared up to 45.5 dB; where storage is needed, the Giano accessories add shelves and cupboards on one or both faces. La Mercanti coordinates specification, shipping and installation for Indian projects.

FAQ

How are glass and wood panels joined?
By a dedicated aluminium joining and reinforcement profile designed for the wood-based panels, which also serves where the two materials meet.
What determines the acoustic performance?
Two panes of glass with an air gap between them; the manufacturer declares up to 45.5 dB while daylight still crosses the wall.
Can shelving be fitted to the wall?
Yes, through the Giano accessories: shelves, cupboards or drawers on one or both faces, with uprights at 900 or 1350 mm centres.
Which door types are available?
Hinged and sliding doors, ADA compliant and low maintenance, with profiles aligned to those of the wall for a continuous line.
Which glass finishes are offered?
Clear, decorated, frosted, reflecting and double polished glass, plus laminated glass with a coloured interlayer.

How to decide where a partition should stop being transparent

Five steps for architects and project teams balancing openness against privacy on a large floor.

Map who sees what from where
Sightlines from the main circulation decide more about comfort than the total glazed area does.
Protect the screens, not the people
Monitors facing a corridor are the usual reason a team asks for opacity: check their orientation first.
Use the solid stretch for what it can carry
A wood-based section takes storage, boards and equipment that glass would rather not.
Keep the daylight path open
Solid panels placed against the window side darken the whole depth of the floor behind them.
Confirm the mix in writing
