In every well-run project there is a fil rouge — the thread that keeps the story coherent. Fil Rouge by Las Mobili, designed by 967 Arch, builds it into the furniture: a decorative red PVC profile runs along the two user sides of the bench frame, one continuous line that signs the whole floor. Below it, the construction is light and precise: perimeter frame and crosspieces in painted extruded aluminium, round legs in Ø 40 mm tube, 3 mm thick, grey nylon levelling feet.

The palette refuses the default grey of operative floors: eight top finishes including Moss Green, Sage and Stone Grey, and a metal structure in Moss Green, Green, Matt Black, White or Stone Grey. Benches are organised around an equippable central bar with two cable gestures — sliding tops with 96 mm excursion or a 90° flap top-access hinged on the bar — both sealed by black dust brushes. Four-seat benches add a 61 mm central side with removable sheet-metal infills and two inspection holes.

Ergonomics live on the bar

Object and paper holders, a revolving monitor arm — mechanical spring, no gas, up to 7 kg, ±13 cm, cables inside — and a LED lamp with occupancy sensor and touch dimming, 10-year warranty declared by the manufacturer. Acoustic comfort mounts on the desk itself: 38 mm sound-absorbing front screens (certification declared by the manufacturer) in Gabriel fabrics with hook-on pen holder and blackboard. Pedestals arrive assembled, on wheels, with an exclusive-design zamak handle — and an optional cushion that turns them into a guest seat. Product certificates can be downloaded on this page.

When it is the right choice

  • Open offices with a colour identity: Moss, Sage and Stone Grey tops, Moss or Green frames, a red PVC profile along the bench.
  • Acoustics at the workstation: 38 mm sound-absorbing screens in Gabriel fabric with clip-on whiteboard and pen holder.
  • Benches opened often by IT: sliding tops with a 96 mm travel or 90° flip-up top access.

FAQ

What is the red thread in Fil Rouge?

A real component, not a slogan: a decorative red PVC profile inserted along the two user sides of the bench frame. It runs the length of the workstation, signs the collection — designed by 967 Arch — and gives a large floor a recognisable identity without one logo on a wall. Underneath: extruded aluminium frame, round Ø 40 mm legs, grey nylon levelling feet.

Why choose an aluminium frame with round legs for a dense office?

Because density is exactly when visual weight starts to hurt. Extruded aluminium profiles and Ø 40 mm round tube keep long rows of workstations light to the eye, and the five structure colours — Moss Green, Green, Matt Black, White, Stone Grey — turn the metal into an interior-design decision. A hundred desks in Fil Rouge read like a project, not an inventory.

How is cabling handled on the bench?

Through the central bar, two ways: sliding tops that travel 96 mm on under-top runners and open the bay along the bench, or a 90° flap top-access hinged on the bar. Black dust brushes let cords pass with everything closed; 1 mm steel trays hang on Ø 30 mm supports under the bar; ABS ring kits or magnetic risers climb the legs; and four-seat benches include a 61 mm central side with removable infills and two inspection holes.

What does the equipped central bar carry?

The working third level: object and paper holders, a turned-steel monitor/lamp support, a revolving monitor arm with mechanical spring — no gas, up to 7 kg, ±13 cm, cables inside — and a LED lamp with occupancy sensor, touch dimming, CRI above 92 and a 10-year warranty declared by the manufacturer. The result is a clear worktop and tools that stay where the work happens.

Is there anything for informal meetings built into the system?

Yes — the pedestal doubles as a seat. The wheeled unit arrives assembled, locks centrally, carries an exclusive-design zamak handle, and accepts a cushion in Gabriel fabrics — 30 mm foam on a masonite support. Roll it to a colleague's desk and the huddle has its chair. Fabric and finish samples are available; the cost is fully credited when the order is confirmed.

How to give a growing office a designed workstation floor

For office managers and project teams: five Fil Rouge decisions that keep density human.

Choose colour before geometry

Eight top finishes — with Moss Green, Sage and Stone Grey leading — and five structure colours give the floor an interior-design palette. Keep two combinations per area and let the red profile be the constant thread across rooms and floors.

Put sound absorption on every desk

Specify the 38 mm sound-absorbing front screens — certification declared by the manufacturer — in Gabriel fabrics, with the hook-on pen holder and metal blackboard. Desk-level acoustics scale with the furniture; ceiling treatments rarely do.

Equip the central bar from day one

Monitor arms (mechanical spring, 7 kg, cables inside), LED lamps with occupancy sensor, object and paper holders — ordered with the benches, not after. The third level is where ergonomics actually happen.

Match the cable gesture to the team

Sliding tops (96 mm excursion) where IT reconfigures often; 90° flap top-access where the seat mostly needs power. Both seal with dust brushes; trays and climbing kits finish the route.

Approve samples, then freeze the specification

Check melamine, painted aluminium and fabrics under your real lighting with physical samples — the cost is fully credited at order confirmation. Then fix tops, structure colour, compositions, top-access type and fabrics in writing.
