Large fit-outs usually solve three problems with three suppliers: a task chair for the desks, a meeting chair for the rooms, an executive chair for the directors' floor. Musa Chair is presented for all three at once — the user manual carries the words meeting, task and executive on its cover, and describes the range as a seating collection of great prestige. It works because the variables are on the inside: three backrest heights, four mechanical configurations, one shape.

Practically, that means a boardroom can take fixed-height chairs on a four-star base with glides while the desks take height-adjustable codes with castors and the tilting mechanism, and everything still reads as one family — 66 by 50 centimetres on the floor, the same aluminium ring, the same seams. Coverings run from category C and F fabrics to category E and Premium category H leather. La Mercanti works with Indian architects and contractors on exactly this kind of consolidation, before the aesthetics are fixed.

FAQ

Can one collection really cover three uses?
That is how ICF presents it: meeting, task and executive on the cover of the user manual. The mechanical differences are in the codes — fixed height, height adjustable, height adjustable with tilt — while the shape and the footprint stay the same.
What changes between a meeting chair and a desk chair here?
Mostly the base and the mechanism. A boardroom usually takes fixed-height codes with glides, so chairs stay where they are placed; a desk takes an adjustable code with castors and, if wanted, the tilting mechanism with up to 16 degrees of movement.
Does the collection stay visually consistent?
The footprint is 66 by 50 cm on every code and the drawing is unchanged: closed armrests, aluminium ring, sewn covering. What varies is the backrest height, from 96 cm on the low back to 125 cm on the version with headrest.
How many coverings are available?
Six fabric ranges in categories C and F, category E leather in fifteen colours and category H Premium leather in ten. Enough to code floors or departments without leaving the family.
Is it suitable for visitor and community seating?
The manual declares conformity to UNI EN 16139 level 1 for visitor and community chairs and armchairs, and the technical sheet declares EN 16139:2013 level 1.
