Itube and Multy: the workstation that keeps a spare tool
Fast-growing offices change layout more often than they change letterhead. Alea Office answers with Multy, the complement of the Itube collection: one essential frame that becomes a coat stand, a TV support, a whiteboard holder or a plant holder — and takes castors when the floor plan refuses to sit still. Monday it holds jackets at the entrance; Thursday it carries the review screen; the sprint board rolls wherever the team does. The same design language as the desks, so nothing looks borrowed.
Behind it stands the full Itube system by Mirto Antonel: workstations on curved steel tube, benches from two to six seats, a single-sided linear run, meeting tables in five shapes and an executive desk. La Mercanti configures the collection for Indian projects and confirms every specification in writing. Offices move; good furniture keeps up.

FAQ
How long can a single Itube desk be?
Individual desks go from 120 to 200 cm in five steps, at 80 or 90 cm depth, all at the collection's fixed height of 73.4 cm. Beyond that, the same structure becomes a bench for facing teams.
Is there an Itube desk for the manager's cabin?
Yes — the collection closes with an executive desk (200 × 90 cm) whose light lines keep the room from turning solemn, plus a return unit at 80–120 cm. Same tube, same finishes, one language from open plan to cabin.
Does the bench lighting need a visible cable?
No: the power cable of each LED bar is integrated in the arch structure and the transformer hides in a beam under the top. What remains visible is brushed aluminium and a small touch key.
How many fabrics can the Itube screens wear?
Nine fabrics, from light grey to coral and spring green, over a pinnable sponge core. The felt curtain adds seven wool colours, plus two PET felt options — enough to zone a floor by colour instead of by signage.
Can Itube be supplied with certified wood?
Alea offers FSC-certified products on request (licence FSC-C118323) and builds its tops on CARB2 panels. Certificates and test reports can be requested with the order documents.
How to plan power on an Itube bench
Wiring decides whether an open space works: five steps to bring current to every Itube workstation without a cable in sight.
Count the devices, not the desks
Two monitors, a laptop and a phone per person is the realistic baseline: the count sizes the trays and the top access you will need.
Choose the access on the top
PVC grommets for single cables, modular aluminium top access for full workstations — each top gets its own opening.
Run the trays underneath
Cable trays come in metal profile or steel wire, single or double: the double version keeps power and data apart.
Feed the arch once
If the bench carries LED bars, their cable is already integrated in the arch and the transformer sits in the under-top beam — one connection serves the row.
Leave a socket for the guest
Meeting tables can take a double-opening flip top on request: power appears when the room fills and disappears when it empties.
