Floor space is the one thing an office cannot manufacture. Pigreco answers with a third level: in the closed office composition — 1800 x 2400 mm — storage climbs above the worktop instead of eating the corridor, so one position holds its files, screens and cabinets in a single vertical footprint.
The rest of the system, designed by Mario Mazzer for Martex, scales the other way too: single operative desks, managerial workstations, four-seat benches on a central beam, meeting tables from ten to eighteen seats and social tables with stools — Pigreco and Pigreco Loop share the same tops, in melamine, matt lacquer or Fenix, 30 mm thick, on four different leg families.
For projects in India, La Mercanti plans Pigreco the way the system itself grows — upward: every composition is drawn position by position, third level included, before anything leaves Italy.
