The cabinet that holds two desks together
Put two desks back to back and something has to hold the arrangement. In the Loft series that something is the Bridge unit: a cabinet whose support bar, in laser-cut steel tube 40 × 25 mm, is fixed to the sides and to the upper shelf with M6 zamak bushings and carries ABS spacers that hold the shelf away — and, in the manufacturer's own words, allow the desks to be joined.
For a corporate floor in India that turns a two-person cluster into a repeatable module: four versions are declared (open, with sliding doors, open with an upper compartment, with sliding doors and open lower compartments), so the same footprint can serve an engineering team and a finance team without a new drawing.
The sliding doors run on top, damped both ways, on an aluminium rail integrated in the top, with about 2 mm of adjustment and an integrated ABS handle.
