A corporate lobby greets hundreds of people a day; a campus gate or a terminal hall greets thousands. Quadrifoglio lists them all among the recommended settings for Z1: corporate receptions, hotels, airports and stations, campuses and schools, waiting areas, shops. It is a declaration of duty — this is a desk drawn for places where footfall never really stops.

The build follows that duty. Structural back panels of 30 mm with impact-resistant ABS edges, worktops joined by brackets and fittings, intermediate steel legs carrying the long spans, plinths in anodised extruded aluminium. Compositions grow from 160 to 480 cm, symmetric or asymmetric, so one front can serve a single receptionist in Pune or a triple station at a Bengaluru tech park. Surfaces come in melamine or matt lacquer, with more than twenty shades plus the RAL scale for institutional colours.

La Mercanti follows Indian projects from drawing to delivery, aligning the Z1 specification with the architect’s package. Where the building itself is the brand — a terminal, a headquarters, a university — the reception desk is the first sentence it speaks.

FAQ

What keeps the worktop stable across long spans?
Intermediate legs in 50×50 mm pickled steel tube carry folded-steel brackets under the surface, so even the widest fronts stay rigid without visible supports on the visitor side.
How is the surface protected in daily use?
Every structural panel is edged in 2 mm impact-resistant ABS and the 30 mm boards have a density of 670/730 kg/m³, a construction meant for counters touched by the public all day long.
Can the lamp glare into visitors' eyes?
No. The LED lamp sits in an aluminium profile closed by an opal polycarbonate cover designed against glare, so the light reaches the counter without hitting the person in front of it.
Is the desk suitable for a green building brief?
The panels use 100% recycled wood, carry the CATAS Quality Award CARB certification for low formaldehyde emission and use resins free of SVHC substances from the ECHA list, with FSC and Pannello Ecologico at company level.
What does La Mercanti provide during specification?
Drawings, finish references and the complete accessory list for the chosen configuration, aligned with the architect's package before the order is confirmed.

How to evaluate the Z1 desk with samples before ordering

Five steps to judge the Z1 reception desk on real material rather than photographs, from first request to final decision.

Request the finish set
Ask La Mercanti for the Z1 reference finishes under evaluation: lacquer shades, melamine decors and the metal colours, named by code.
Judge them under your own light
Look at the samples in the actual lobby, at morning and evening, because a shade that works in a showroom can shift under glass facades.
Pair surfaces with the floor
Lay each sample against the existing stone or tile: the counter will be read together with the floor, never in isolation.
Shortlist two combinations
Reduce the options to a first and a reserve pairing, photographing both in place for the decision file.
Confirm codes in writing
Send the chosen codes back to La Mercanti so the order for the Z1 carries exact references, not colour names from memory.
