Specifying reception desks across sites usually means specifying different products — a small one for the branch office, a long one for headquarters. Z2 removes that fork: the same four module widths, 100 to 160 cm, build eight catalogue compositions from 126 to 492 cm, every one of them 113 cm tall. The desk at the regional office and the counter in the head-office atrium are grammatically the same object.

That consistency is structural, not cosmetic: identical panels with 2 mm ABS edges, identical 45-degree joints and 90-degree fittings, identical steel legs. Finishes — seven melamines, twenty-five lacquers, the leather-faced shelf — carry across every size, and the lowered accessible module slots into any run. Corner modules take the system around pillars and into L-shaped halls.

What actually holds the worktops up — the modules or the legs?
Both, by declared design: structural modules carry the load, with intermediate steel legs in 50×50 mm tube and 3 mm folded-sheet brackets supporting the tops. Longer runs can also use intermediate side panels instead of legs.
How many power supplies does a lit composition need?
One declared 24 W driver feeds one shelf module complete with its LED strip and worktop lamp, through a 2 m cable. Count one driver per lit module when budgeting the electrical works.
Will the worktop survive years of visitor badges and parcels?
The tops are 30 mm melamine declared scratch-resistant and washable, and the surface passed the declared abrasion, scratch and cold-liquid tests. It is a working surface by specification, not just by promise.
Is Z2 limited to office lobbies?
No — the manufacturer's declared settings include hotels, schools and campuses, shops, bars and transit areas. The module logic is the same; only the composition length and finishes change.
Can the welcome shelf be retrofitted on an existing composition?
Yes, the shelf is a declared optional part mounted on dedicated brackets, so a counter ordered without it can gain it later without replacing modules.

How to install a Z2 counter and get it level

A modular counter is only as good as its first hour on site. Five steps from crates to a counter that sits true.

Clear the footprint first
Mark the full composition on the floor — including the corner modules and the accessible section — before opening a single crate, so every module lands where it will live.
Build from a closing side
Start from the left or right closing side panel and add modules in sequence, pulling the 45-degree joints together with their 90-degree fittings as you go.
Level before you tighten
Use the levelling feet — up to 12 mm of travel under legs, 15 mm under modules — to bring the run true across the slab, then do the final tightening on the fittings.
Fit tops and brackets last
Seat the 30 mm worktops on their folded-sheet brackets only after the base line is level; a top fitted early locks errors in.
Route power before the first guest
Feed the LED drivers, drop the cables through the grommets and close the flip-top tray, so opening day starts with a clean counter and nothing taped to the floor.
