The economy of a good system is in how few pieces it needs. Dorothea works with nine: five seats and four backrests, each in a different size. From that short list LaCividina builds compositions that, in the manufacturer's words, go beyond classic linear modularity — elements meet along the tangency of their curves and grow into colonies rather than rows.
Designed by Andrea Steidl in 2023, the collection takes its name and its form from Lithops, the succulents known as living stones. The seat is planar and asymmetric; the sculptural backrest is the load-bearing element of the system.
Nine pieces make many rooms: send the plan, and the composition comes back rebuilt with LaCividina.

Structure: solid fir and beech, masonite panel, elastic webbing
Padding: flame-retardant non-deforming polyurethane foam of differentiated densities, polyester fibre
Seams: reinforced with a carbon fibre backing
Frame: reinforced for use in public areas
Exposed woods: natural ash or graphite-stained ash
Options: electrical connection and USB port on request at extra cost; extra cushions; upholstery in the client's own fabric (plain colour, 140 cm width) or leather, sample required
