A reception that welcomes, a meeting room that focuses, a break corner that relaxes, a cabin that signals rank, a terrace that breathes: most fit-outs buy four or five different floors to get there. Tape does it on one order sheet. The glazed porcelain stoneware collection Raw Edges designed for Mutina in 2017 packs two bases, eight graphic patterns, eight half patterns and five shades into a single 20.5×20.5 cm format.

The mechanism is the half pattern: each motif — Mesh, Cobble, Grainy, Zigzag — has a half version that fades it into the base, so the floor changes mood between areas without breaking continuity. Beneath the graphics runs a faint chalky ground; above, five glazing textures mixed at random keep large stretches alive. Patterns arrive perfectly centered, ready for a 2 mm joint.

One specification serves every zone: stain class 5 for the coffee runs, breaking strength declared at 1300 N minimum, 0.06% absorption and frost resistance for the terrace, R10 with DCOF 0.69 on the slip side, Robinson-rated for heavy use. The design itself is registered — no. 004427748-0001/0027, filed in 2017 — which keeps the drawing as protected as the budget. Can a single Tape order cover indoor and outdoor areas?
Yes — that is the point of the system. The same 20.5×20.5 cm format is declared for floor and wall, indoor and outdoor, with 0.06% absorption and frost resistance, so reception, cabins and terrace travel on one order sheet.
How many patterns does the Tape system include?
Eight full patterns and eight half patterns across four graphic families — Mesh, Cobble, Grainy, Zigzag — on two bases and five shades: enough combinations to give every zone its own mood without changing collection.
Will Tape stand up to heavy office footfall?
The Robinson test rates it for heavy use, stain resistance is class 5 and breaking strength is declared at minimum 1300 N. Slip data is published too: R10, DCOF 0.69, Pendulum 27 (P2).
What is special about Tape's glazing?
Five different glazed surface textures are mixed at random through production, over a faint chalky ground. Large floors keep a quiet vibration instead of the flat repeat of a printed series.

Five moods, one order: planning Tape across a fit-out

How to give reception, meetings, break, cabins and terrace their own character with one glazed stoneware collection - and one supplier list.

List the moods before the materials
Walk the plan and name what each zone should feel like: welcome, focus, pause, rank, air. Five moods maximum - that is exactly how many colour routes Tape carries.
Map patterns to zones
Assign Mesh, Cobble, Grainy or Zigzag to each function, on Base White for daylight areas or Base Black for the darker register. The format never changes, so the plan stays one surface.
Fade the boundaries
Between two zones, specify the half pattern of the leaving motif for one or two courses. The mood changes, the floor does not break - no trims, no thresholds, no separate flooring package.
Fix the technical line once
One line covers the whole project: 2 mm joint with wedges, porcelain adhesive, cement-based or epoxy grout - Nero 06 on Base Black, Calce 01 on White bases. Repeat it per zone and the spec is done.
Order zone-wise, blend box-wise
Quantify at 23.88 pieces per square metre, 16 per box, and draw from several boxes in each zone while laying. The V2 variation and the five random glazes even out across the floor. Finish samples can be ordered with the cost fully credited at order confirmation.
