Order fixed-height stools for a large facility and the spreadsheet multiplies: one height for the cafeteria, another for the high tables, a third for the barista counter — three codes, three stocks, three chances of a wrong delivery. MAK collapses that column into one line. Its declared adjustment runs from 55 to 80 cm, so a single reference serves every counter on the floor plan, and facilities keep one spare stock instead of three.

The stool earning that simplification is no compromise. Patrick Norguet designed it for Lapalma in 2012 as a game of perfectly proportioned rings — backrest, footrest, seat — around a load-bearing stem; the frame is powder-coated steel in eight colours, the padded seat is upholstered in fabric, leather or eco-leather, and the sheet declares EN 1728:2012 and EN 16139:2013 L2 extreme testing, the severe-use reference for shared spaces.
