A front desk is a workplace where someone sits for hours in full view of the room, and the seat is part of the first impression a visitor forms. The Saya stool answers both halves of that: it is built on a steel sled base in two heights, so it can be matched to a bank counter or a hotel front desk rather than to a bar, and its oak veneered shell is the same one used on the chairs in the lounge downstairs — which means reception and public areas can be furnished as one family instead of two. Arper declares the collection for general use in office buildings, public halls and banks, and the shell can be ordered bare or with a seat cushion in fabric, leather or coated fabric where someone sits through a whole shift.
