Arper does not describe the Pausit Waiting structure by how many people sit on it. It describes it by how many units it carries: three, four or five. Each unit is a place that can be filled with a seat module or given over to a table, centrally or between two seats. The bench is therefore specified the way a shelf system is specified — by positions, not by metres — and two identical structures can serve very different rooms depending on what fills them.
The rest of the construction supports that logic. A metal frame with powder-coated aluminium legs and height-adjustable glides carries the composition; side and intermediate armrests in die-cast aluminium mark the divisions; modules in plywood arrive in an oak-effect or black anti-fingerprint laminate, exposed, with a seat cushion or fully upholstered. Alongside sits the Lounge structure, which trades the seat modules for two chaise longues with an intermediate table. The project is by Lievore Hary, 2025. It fits hospitality and contract interiors, collaborative floors, bars and restaurants, airport and station halls, and a home office at the smallest scale. La Mercanti prepares the composition on your layout and stays on the project through delivery and installation.
